To use your hookah correctly, remember to fill the base of the hookah with cold water. The water level should be about 2-3 cm above the lower end of the downstem.

Assemble the body of the hookah by connecting it to the base. Make sure the joints are well sealed to prevent air leaks. Crumble the hookah tobacco and place it in the bowl. Don't push it too hard; It should be spongy to allow good air flow.

Fill the bowl to the brim without overloading it. Cover the bowl with heavy-duty aluminum foil and poke small holes all over the surface using a toothpick or similar tool.

Alternatively, you can use a metal screen designed for hookahs. Use the tongs to hold the charcoal and light it with a lighter or in a charcoal burner until it is completely lit and covered in a layer of gray/white ash. This usually takes a few minutes.

After Each Use: Separate all parts of the hookah (bowl, hose, body, base). Clean the bowl with hot water and a soft brush to remove any tobacco residue. You can use a little mild soap if necessary. Empty the water and rinse the base with hot water. Use a foundation brush to remove any built-up residue. Use a long, thin brush to clean the inside of the downstem and body parts of the hookah. If your hose is washable, rinse it with hot water and hang it to dry completely. If it is not washable, simply shake it well to remove any smoke residue.
