Empty the water and rinse the base with hot water. Use a foundation brush to remove any built-up residue. Use a long, thin brush to clean the inside of the downstem and body parts of the hookah. If your hose is washable, rinse it with hot water and hang it to dry completely. If it is not washable, simply shake it well to remove any smoke residue. Be sure to dry all parts completely before reassembling them. Leaving wet pieces can lead to mold build-up and bad odors.
